OUR FARMING JOURNEY
We are Rach and Jakey, a young family of first-generation farmers chasing our dream with our 2 little girls.
Rewinding to August 2017, Farmer rocks up from his afternoon milking with an advert in Farmers Weekly, looks at me and tells me our lives are about to change.
So our journey began. Countless hours spent on business plans, budget forecasts, farm visits and interviews and we finally did it.
We got the news that Farmer had dreamed of ever since he asked for a cow for Christmas at 3 years old. We managed to secure our very first tenancy on 122 acres that for the next 7 years we could call our own.
We started from absolutely nothing, we had no animals, or equipment and little money in the bank. We quit our jobs, packed our life into boxes and travelled 72 miles from our little home in Somerset to start our new adventure in South Devon. What an adventure it has been!
Now, you can become a part of Our Farming Journey!
